The Second Conference of Armenian Studies Centers Operating at Foreign Universities

On the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Poland and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, the Second Conference of Armenian Studies Centers Operating at Foreign Universities was held in cooperation with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
In his opening remarks, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Poland, Alexander Arzoumanian, welcomed the participants, emphasized the role of Armenian Studies centers operating abroad, and highlighted the establishment this year of the Mkhitar Gosh Armenian Studies Center at the University of Poznań, in accordance with a trilateral memorandum. He noted that the conference serves as an important platform for developing a shared vision for the joint advancement of Armenian Studies centers.
Opening remarks were also delivered by Artur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia; Przemysław Wojtaszek, Vice-Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań; and Adam Pomeciński, Director of the Mkhitar Gosh Armenian Studies Center.
The conference featured panel discussions and presentations, including on topics such as strategic directions for the development of Armenian Studies, partnerships in the field of Armenian Studies, and the formation of academic networks, among others.
