Signing of an MoU with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan

On January 7, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Poland A. Arzoumanian hosted a meeting with Professor Rafał Witkowski, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and Mr. Hraczja Bojadżjan, the Representative of the Armenian Minority at the Joint Commission of the Government and National and Ethnic Minorities.

During the meeting issues related to the cooperation with the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań were addressed. Subsequently, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the University. The Memorandum establishes the Mkhitar Gosh Center for Armenian Studies at the University, which aims to promote the development and dissemination of academic knowledge in the fields of Armenian language, literature and culture. The Center will also offer grants to support the implementation of research programs in Armenian studies.
