Phone conversation of Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian with Foreign Minister of Poland

On December 22, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Aivazian held a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Poland Zbigniew Rau.

Foreign Ministers Ara Aivazian and Zbigniew Rau discussed a number of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, expressing mutual readiness to undertake practical steps to strengthen the cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The sides also touched upon the extension of cooperation within the framework of the Armenia-EU partnership. In this context, Minister Aivazian specifically emphasized the importance of the Eastern Partnership as an effective platform for cooperation based on common values.

Touching upon the issues of regional security and stability, Minister Aivazian briefed his counterpart on the aggression of Azerbaijan with the direct involvement of Turkey against the people of Artsakh and the steps being undertaken to eliminate its consequences. Both sides highlighted the importance of addressing the issues of the NK peace process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.
