Gurdjieff Ensemble in Warsaw

09 November, 2024
On November 9, the Gurdjieff Ensemble performed at the Church of All Saints in Warsaw as part of the 6th International Music Festival of Central and Eastern Europe “Eufonie”.

Under the leadership of artistic director and conductor Levon Eskenian, the ensemble introduced the Polish audience to their album "Zartir", which reinterprets the music of the renowned Armenian intellectual, spiritual teacher, composer, choreographer and philosopher G. Gurdjieff using traditional folk instruments. The performance also included arrangements of works by Armenian musicians and poets Paghtasar Dpir, Sayat-Nova and Gusan Jivani.

The annual festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland and the National Center for Culture Poland.
