Signing of an agreement at the University of Warsaw

On May 23, at the University of Warsaw, a cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Warsaw and the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences օf Armenia, Service for Protection of Historical Environment and Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserves of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia, Memorial Complex of Sardarapat Battle, National Museum of Armenian Ethnography and History of Liberal Struggle.

The agreement envisages joint archaeological research, conferences, and training of specialists as well as restoration of archaeological monuments and found objects in cooperation with the Polish Center of Mediterranean Archeology of the University of Warsaw.

The signing ceremony was followed by a lecture by Dr. Roman Hovsepyan (“Overview of agriculture and food consumption in the South Caucasus during prehistory (Neolithic-Iron Age periods, 7th-1st millennium BC“) and an Armenian-Polish archaeological workshop by Dr. Mateusz Iskra (“Pottery production, distribution and use during the Iron Age in Armenia”).
